Public Administration
Public service is a noble calling, and the Master of Public Administration prepares you with the managerial and analytical skills you need to ethically and effectively serve an increasingly diverse public in government agencies, nonprofit groups or other public affairs organizations.
Graduate Degrees
Primarily administered by core political science faculty members in our College of Arts and Sciences, the Master of Public Administration curriculum is designed to produce broadly trained public servants with a passion for the public good. Through our teaching, research, service activities and other initiatives, our goal is to improve the understanding and practice of public affairs in our state, the nation and across borders.
On average, slightly more than half of our students are already employed, and our internship program prepares the other half of our students for rewarding careers in public service. For more specialized professional training in your area of interest, we also offer dual degree programs with law and with public health.

Through special arrangement, the university offers dual degree programs in certain areas to permit a student to work on two degrees concurrently by combining credits, resulting in the student's taking fewer courses than the total required if each degree were pursued independently.
